Geraint Meek - Subaru Impreza WRX

We have recently re-engineered a X3C XR6564S for Geraint Meek and his Subaru Impreza Version 8 WRX. Geraint's new Xona By AET turbo is fitted with a SS V-Band 0.82A/R housing.

We spoke with Geraint following the recent work we have undertaken on his unit.

'When I first started campaigning the Subaru Impreza Version 8 WRX in the Welsh Sprint and Hillclimb championship, in addition to the occasional trackday and overseas events, the car sported the standard two litre EJ20 engine with the TD04 turbo. From this, a VF35 was fitted instead of the TD04 which improved performance, but following the installation of a purpose built EJ25 engine, the VF35’s top end performance was found to be lacking.' stated Geraint.

Due to Geraint's desire for a more enhanced performance from his turbo, he contacted us and we were more than happy to help.

Geraint commented, 'It was from talking to Damien Bradley from Team Legacy UK at the St Goueno Hillclimb in France that a Xona Rotor 6564s was considered as an option. I subsequently got in contact with Xona By AET who kindly guided me towards the most suitable turbine housing to use, in addition to the required oil and coolant fittings for my use. I’m very much looking forwards to fitting the X3C 6564s with the 0.82 A/R housing to the Impreza and to see how it performs. I highly recommend Xona By AET if you are looking to upgrade your turbocharger, as they are a very professional team that have been exceptionally helpful in ensuring that the correct turbo for my application was selected.'

We wish Geraint the best of luck for the rest of the year and beyond!
